Mahaffey Camp

Grandma and Grandpa just returned from church camp. Wanted you to see a little of the scenery in what is called the West trailer court. Because we are on a hill, Grandpa has to put us up on blocks on one side. He needs to get some new blocks. These are getting kind of old and rickety. If he doesn't put the jack stands underneath the motorhome (which have to be put on blocks also), inside it feels as if you are bouncing and that the motorhome will topple over. We had some bad weather at the beginning of camp but until my awning starts billowing I don't worry too much. God sent about an hour of fireworks in the middle of the night the 2nd night-continuous lightning and thunder and rain. There was one night that they hearded us up into the dining hall after the evening service. The wind was not blowing nor was it even raining a lot so Marsha and I went back to the motorhome where she took her shower before heading to her tent camper. The morning speaker was the Greek professor from Toccoa Falls College in GA. He was OK as long as he stuck to the the text but I disagreed with a couple of his conclusions. Apparently several Pastors did also. It was more like a class room than a church service. The man in the evening service was Joe Phillips-he preached under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and was excellent. As always the 7 a.m. prayer meeting and the afternoon Fresh Breeze service were great. But...we are glad to be home. This week is getting things done to put in the fair and Bible school and next week is fair week in Huntingdon County.
