Wood for heating

Grandpa got a downed tree from Larry and Marsha and he has to split the wood to fit in our furnace.

Valentine's Dinner

The youth of our church are starting to raise money to go to Life 2007 (a large gathering of youth held every 3 years in different areas of the US) Life 2007 will be in Orlando FL.
They served a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner. Grandma and Grandpa had a wonderful time. Grandpa sat next to Mike Long and Grandma next to his wife, Beth-a good friend of Grandma's. Next is my best friend and prayer partner, Marsha at a different table and across from her is her husband, Larry. Another lady that I pray with is Sue Hoover. She is dressed as Martha Washington and wrote and produced a style show called "Clothing through the ages" She has some period costumes and what she didn't have-she made. She is very creative!

Sewing at Church

Once a month our guild goes to the fireside room at the church and sews all day long. Grandma gets a lot of work done on these days. Grandpa is making a very special quilt that has a black background and beautiful colored stars. He is making binding to put on the edge once it is quilted. He is having a hard time deciding what colors to use. I think he ended up with all of them. Grandma is working on a pillow for our quilt challenge. It is a log cabin heart. She is going to donate it for a door prize for our local quilt show.
