December 2008

Our sanctuary was transformed for our young people to present the musical "The Christmas Shoes" I went to see it both nights-Excellent!

We sold our first quilt. I fell in love with this quilt and asked Jesse to piece it for me so I could quilt it. Cathy fell in love with it when she saw it at the county fair and was willing to pay the price we put on it.

Christmas 2008

This is a before picture. We just put up a small tree because living room is so small. It is decorated with quilted ornaments.

We haven't made a quilt for Rick for a long time. He mentioned he liked this one when he saw it in a quilt book. I picked out the fabric, Jesse pieced it and I quilted it.

I made Keith and Rick blankies years ago out of twin sheets. Linda found a twin sheet the same as Rick's old blankie. I tried to make it exactly the same but they don't make batting the same as they used to. It disintegrated when I washed it so I had to make it a little differently.

The TV that Jesse watches when he quilts lost it's remote ability so we splurged on a new TV for him so the poor baby didn't have to get up and turn the channel.

This is how I sit in my favorite chair. I didn't even think how sexy it would look when I had Jesse take my picture :-) I'm just thankful my body still bends in that position!

Thanksgiving 2008

Rick went to IL for Thanksgiving so our friends Jim and Shelly Brown invited us for dinner. I took a picture of the table with all the food but...so busy eating Shelly's yummy turkey that didn't take any pictures of people. I took this picture of Jim and Shelly at our Christmas program but don't have a picture of their four
children-Ben, Byron, Jacob and Jeffrey.

Rick's Birthday 2008

We got Rick two pairs of jeans. He likes Levi's Silver Tab Baggy but they are getting hard to find.

Rick sent his Bible to be rebound and then was laid off and couldn't afford to get it so it was fun to surprise him with his "new" Bible.
